You want your website to rank as high as it can in search engines but you don’t need to know all there is about SEO. By using these 3 tips it will help you rank higher and more people will be able to find you.

This great free tool is a great way to help you chose which keywords you should be using in your posts to attract the right audience to your blog. It shows you which words are highly search and how many other sites, blogs and websites, are using these keywords. You can then use these in your title, alternative image tags or in the first 100 characters of your posts.
Use social media and bookmarking websites to promote your posts. Create profiles on each and actively use them, remembering on Twitter and Instagram to hashtag (#) keywords and on Google+ and Facebook use appropriate images to entice new readers. Share the content of your blog on all and if you think a post will be of interest to the larger community, ask others to share your post too.
If you use WordPress, install an SEO plugin to automatically optimise your site. I use Yoast, which is easy to set up and even easier to use. There are many great plugins available so how a browse on WordPress.org to see which one suits you.
Thought I was finished? Well, you’re in for a treat. Here’s a bonus SEO tip that I picked up recently. SEO for your images. When you upload a picture to your post, you need to change both the Title and the ALT Text. In the title box use the keywords in lowercase separated by dashes (-). In the ALT Text, capitalise the keywords. This way the bots that search your site will index these properly too.
