Time Out Reads: Resurrection

Easter and Spring always bring with them the feeling of a new start. Seeing all the baby lambs running around in the fields and the bright coloured crocuses and daffodils poking up through the soil shows the restart of our yearly cycle, maybe more so that the start of a New Year.

Resurrection is the theme of this weeks time out reads too. Especially as I have restarted writing in a hope to finish my first novel and put my degree to good use.

Also, I have decided to shake up this weekly round-up of favourite reads with a selection of my Instagram pictures for the previous week. This way I might actually take more photos too!!

Sprockets

I wanted to start with this lovely story of a hidden kitten in an engine. We’ve also just got a new kitten so this post really struck a chord. Can you imagine finding an animal had been under the bonnet of your car whilst you’d been driving around? Not only is Beth from Home Stories A to Z story super cute, but the kitten is too!

Slow Progress

I have been trying to live intentionally for the past couple of years, not always successfully but it is a work in progress. I find reading other people’s stories of their intentional lives really interesting and Krista over at A Life In Progress is one of my favourites. In this piece, Krista talks about making peace with slow progress. We all want to see things done now but at what cost to us? A really interesting read.

Resistance

I found this thought-provoking post from Kimberley guest writing over on The Art of Simple really interesting and I have to admit I too resist all of these things too. Rest is my main one, although I am trying to listen to my body more and give in to its needs.

Have a great week…
