Time Out Reads – Forward Thinking

This last week really has made me realise I need to get organised and slow things down. With deadlines, carol concerts and present shopping all needed completing, this week has been one week I am glad to have behind me. I only have the odd last minute present to get, something I also need to curb and then I can really wind down and enjoy the true meaning of Christmas, spending time with my family.
Finding time to myself was a big challenge this week too, but I made sure I found time each day to read and here are some of my favorite posts from the past week.
Many of the phrases we say are inherited from those around us, especially from our parents, but this isn’t always a good thing. Lisa over at Creative Holisitic Home shares the two phrases she won’t be saying this holiday season.
This post is prefect after the week I’ve had. Taking time out in the run up to Christmas fits in with the post I also wrote about slowing down. Annie from Fable and Folk shares her thoughts and stunning photos of her beach front wander.
Finding ways to reduce stress in the run up to Christmas is also on my list. Pip over at Meet Me At Mikes has a great post which even includes music and a film to lift your spirits at this time of year.
Thinking ahead to the new year has made me want to get planning as I said in my last post. Here Melissa writes a guest post on Becoming Minimalist about how she’s planning for 2016.
I am so guilty of this, being on my phone when I should be interacting with my children. This post on Break the Twitch made me realise I need to put mine away more often.
I hope you have a great Christmas and enjoy the time you have with your families.
Spread the love
